Randall Abrahams, Unathi Msengana and Gareth Cliff are back to search for sensational talent and shatter misguided music superstar dreams in the eighth season of Idols SA.

Unathi Msengana

Sassy, chic Metro FM breakfast host Unathi Msengana is an established recording artist, songwriter and African Renaissance woman. Over the years she has collected a string of accolades that have stamped her as one of the most influential women in entertainment. In 2003, she walked away with two awards at the Metro FM Music Awards, for Song of The Year and Best Dressed Artist. In 2004 and 2005 She was named as one of the Top Ten people in Media by The Star newspaper and was named as the most promising woman in media at the MTN Media Awards, hosted by Media Magazine.

Unathi has also received several South African Music Awards nominations.

Gareth Cliff

Outspoken Radio personality Gareth Cliff, who joined Idols in Season 2, has more Twitter followers than any other South African celebrity. Having studied Law, International Relations, Politics and History, Gareth has an astounding general knowledge and accompanying wit allows him to share challenging, bold and entertaining opinions with his his listeners and social media friends.

He has won several awards including People's Choice Crystal Award for Favourite Radio Personality; Kids Favourite TV Presenter and Favourite Radio Presenter; has regularly been one of the top South Africans in the HEAT Top 100; as well as regular winner and finalist in the YOU awards.

Randall Abrahams

Randall is the judge that everyone loves to hate, as well as the judge everyone wants to impress! He rarely gives out compliments, so if you get one you know you’re doing something right.

He started off his prolific career in broadcast radio as station manager of Goodhope FM before moving to the role of station manager at the newly incumbent YFM in 1998. After building YFM into a leading youth radio station, he became General Manager of Public Commercial Radio at the SABC.

Thereafter, Randall has hosted an array of shows on commercial radio stations and and regularly acts as a radio consultant. This year, he became the CEO of the South African Music Awards,

Randall has been an Idols judge since Season 1 in 2001.
