News: Monde Answers Your Questions
Witbank’s Monde Msutwana is leaving the Idols competition content with how far he got and ready to get started on many exciting plans for the future.

After last night’s Live Results Show that saw him being eliminated from the competition, we asked you to send through questions for Monde. He answers some below.

1. How do you feel about reaching the top 3? - Boipelo Mooko
Reaching the Top 3 is an experience I feel everyone should go through. I feel very happy and excited. I’m content with the results, for me, reaching the Top 3 is an achievement.

2. Do you think coming this far in the competition is a loss or a win, in terms of making it in this industry? - Palesa Poolo
You could look at it in both ways. It’s a loss because I don’t get the money but it’s a win because doors have opened up and I firmly believe in working hard for my money. So to me, it’s a win.

3. What do you hope to achieve now that Idols SA has built a platform for you with so many fans? - Tina Mashiloane
I want to achieve a lot of things, first is the album coming out early next year. Secondly, I want to get into acting. Thirdly, I want to do voice-overs. Fourth, I want to be a vocal producer. Fifth, I want to build an empire. So there are a lot of things I can be grateful for from this Idols experience.

4. Where to from here? I know for sure you’ll be singing but do you see yourself acting? - Philile Promza Luthuli
Yes, I see myself acting. I love being in character. Just looking at the Ford and KFC adverts that we’ve done, my favourite was the KFC one where I had a moustache and the afro. I loved it to bits.

5. I would like to know if you wrote your new single? If so, what inspired the lyrics? - Ruth Franke
Unfortunately I didn’t write the single. The single was given to the three of us from Universal Music. I think the lyrics are quite apt because we can change the world. If we do things correctly I believe we all have the potential to change one part of our lives which will filter out and exponentially change the rest of everyone else’s lives.

6. Well done Monde, I believe you are still going to sing. Are you going to do urban pop music or maybe be a versatile artist? - Malizole Mali Mqikela
In my music career I think I’ll be very experimental but within boundaries because I understand my fan base and my target market. So I’ll start off with Soul, which is what you know me for but I will experiment. What I want to do is find an encompassing sound and within that have the different genres portrayed in my album.

7. Who would you vote for to win the SA Idols 2012 and why? - Benard Mooketsi
I want to make it fun and vote for both of them. Let’s make this interesting.

8. Was there anyone in the idols house that you did not get along with? If yes - who? - Karen Hart Abrie
I tried to get a long with everyone because I fully understand that this is a competition and we are here for three months, after that, depending on where everyone wants to go but I’d imagine everyone wants to sing, so if I didn’t get along with anyone that would mean I would not be able to work with that person. And you never know who someone will turn out to be.

9. Who is your Idol of all the seasons and why? - Hester van der Merwe
Heinz Winkler because he opened the door for everyone else and he’s hard working. Elvis Blue, L’loyd, Mark Haze and Dave, I respect those guys because they have kept it real and they are still in the industry working hard showing us that you don’t necessarily have to be in this competition, fall out and go back to your day job.

10. What would you change in the music industry if you could? And why? - Nick Pool
I firmly believe we have no confidence in our stuff which is why we pumping a lot of American and international music in our scene which means we are taking our economy out of the country and putting it in other people’s hands whereas we could produce the same amount of quality and commercial aspects and if its coming from us it will be much more and we’ll be employing a lot of musicians which means our economy has a possibility of booming.
