With only two weeks to go before South Africa chooses the next South African Idol, the tension is mounting in the Idols house. But as always the Top 3 are hard at work to prepare their best performances for the Top 3 Spectacular this weekend.
This week each contestant will sing three songs. One will be any song of their own choice, one will be chosen for them by Idols Musical Directors Alexis Faku and Martin Schofield, and one song will be a Theatre Week song, when the Idols get the chance to revisit a song they performed during Theatre Week in Sun City this April.

And helping the Top 3 prepare for their big show this week is South Africa’s latest superstar, Toya Delazy!
For his own choice Durban’s Idol
Khaya chose Justin Bieber’s “Down To Earth”, the Musical Directors’ choice for him is “She Will Be Loved”, by Maroon 5, and to revisit his triumphant moment from Theater Week, of course Khaya went with his interpretation of the Nicki Minaj hit “Super Bass”.
Monde from Pretoria chose the Commodores classic “Night Shift” as his first song, the MD’s chose Sade’s “By Your Side”, and Monde’s Theater Week revisit will be Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks”.
And for P.E. beauty
Melissa, her own choice is Adele’s “Chasing Pavements”, the Musical Directors’ choice for her is the Alicia Keys standard “Fallin’” and from Theater Week Melissa chose Rihanna’s “Unfaithful”.
