At the start of the show, we were down to the Top 4. Each of them gave three amazing performances during Sunday’s show – two “Homebrew” songs and a duet.
Idols Judge Randall, MD of Universal Music, who will sign the winner to a recording contract, said any one of the Top 4 would be a pleasure to work with. “They’ve been really good, consistent and hardworking,” he said approvingly.
Popular House DJ Black Coffee mentored them and he came on stage for a great performance with Tumelo. This is what the Contestants learnt from Black Coffee:
Tshidi and
Monde were in the bottom 2 after the latest voting period. The Judges were no longer able to use their save, which meant no second chances. Only the votes counted. Unfortunately for Tshidi, her Idols journey has come to an end. She has come so far and has made us so proud.
Congratulations to
Melissa,
Khaya and
Monde for making it to the Top 3.
Tickets for the finale will go on sale via Computicket from Monday, 24 September.
Tune into the show to watch the Top 3 perform on
M-Net and
Mzansi Magic this Sunday, 23 September at 17:30.
