Exclusive Video: Message To My Younger Self
Getting this far in the Idols competition has forced the remaining Top 4 to grow through challenges and learn plenty about themselves and the industry.

We caught up with them to find out what advice these Contestants would pass on to their younger selves.

With all the attention Khaya has been getting from his fans in the competition, he figures humility always is a key trait to have. He also knows that a little good clean fun couldn’t hurt.

“Just have fun my boy. You only have this one life and one chance to do it so you might as well have fun at it” says Khaya.

Meanwhile, Melissa told her younger self all about the importance of saving money.

“Keep saving your money because there are going to come rainy days when you’ll need your money,” she says.

Melissa goes on to speak about mentally preparing for a competition as hectic as Idols SA.

Monde tells his younger self all about the first car he’ll buy and the thick skin he’ll need to face the negative comments he’ll get on Facebook and Twitter after entering Idols.

“Take every blow as it comes with a pinch of salt, it might taste a little better than it would if you didn’t salt it,” says Monde.

For Tshidi a bright white smile is too important not to have.

“Little Tshidi, don’t eat a lot of sweets because they will give you bad teeth. Don’t smoke and don’t drink so your teeth will always be as white as they are now,” she says.
