Exclusive Video: Dealing With Mean Tweets
Fri, 07 Sep 2012 15:15
Being a Contestant on Idols SA isn’t easy. Each Idols hopeful not only deals with long rehearsal hours and being away from home, they also have to deal with social media and the sometimes unpleasant messages the audience posts.
The Contestants respond to some of the nastiest tweets they have received.
This is what viewers at home had to say about the Idols receiving mean comments on Facebook and Twitter:
“Comes with the territory.” -
Theodorick Fortuin
.
“People can be mean sometimes, but why?” -
Mamagirl Theresia Mabelane
.
To which
Koolkid Khotso Malaka
responded: “Lol Mamagirl, isn’t that obvious? Hatred. Damn them haters.”
“People will say things that will pull you down from your strength and what you believe in. Just believe in yourself.” -
Marara Kopolo
.
“If you are a public figure you should expect things like this. To be where you are now means a lot and I say you rock.” -
Ally Moseamedi
.
