The Idols Showstopper theme has been the most demanding and challenging show this year. But it seems the Contestants met the challenge and pulled off some impressive performances, much to the delight of their fans on our official
Facebook page.
“They were all amazing wow if only they could all win Idols 2012.” -
Kegakiloe Khoza.
“Outstanding show! All deserving performances! Melissa stood out with the outfit and performance. Still Team Simphiwe and Monde supporter!” -
Antoinette Manelis.
The Top 6 opened the show with an electrifying group performance of 30 Seconds To Mars’ “Closer To The Edge” along with the Idols dancers.
This is what the fans thought of their group performance:
“Great opening performance and the girls are sizzling hot! I have to give it to them!” -
Malibongwe Xulu.
“Amazing. We are moving up a notch. American Idols better watch out, we coming for them lol.” -
Sagithi Msiza.
The individual performances did not fail to impress either.
Idols fan,
Nompilo Ngcobo, posted: “HOT HOT HOT! All of them brought it. Big ups to the bigger ladies (Shekhinah & Tshidi) they were phenomenal! Who said only skinny girls can dance? Awesome show tonight! These people are raising our SA flag up high.”
Shekhinah was first up with Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends”. Although
Tawonga Chunda said it was a “bad song choice”,
Nompilo Ngcobo did not agree. “Aaaah The Dougie was awesome, singing, dance moves...everything was on point! WOWZA! You go girl! All my votes coming her way! AWESONESS,” she said.
The Judges loved
Melissa and the audience thought her performance was smoking hot.
“Melissa you rocked tonight. Step aside Fergie, you made PE proud” posted
Carla Bibby.
Up next was
Monde with Usher’s “Scream”. His fans loved his performance with others sharing words of advice:
“Monde is the best singer, the problem is his song choices. If he really wants to win he must be careful with his song choice. But I don’t see competition among other contestants,” said
Marco B-show GeminiDj.
Michelle Emilene April posted that she believed
Simphiwe was awesome on stage and “had mastered this art” while
Sharnè Damons thought there was “too much shouting, too little singing”.
Princy Mthombeni, an avid #TeamKhaya member says
Khaya has the whole package. “His dance moves are super clean and never exaggerated. His singing is out of this world. I would like to see Tshidi and Khaya in the finals,” he posted.
But
Charlez-Charly Gaserotse believes Khaya will find himself in the bottom 3 this week. “His performance was weird,” he said.
Tshidi closed the show with a booty hop for her rendition of Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love”. This what the fans thought:
“Great show. Well done to all. The composure and dignified stage performance by Tshidi was so remarkable.” -
Carol Hendricks.
“Such is the level of Tshidi’s talent that even her worst performance is still better than the rest because that was not her best.” -
Shueib Felix.
“Girl you can't do a Beyonce song and not dance your butt off! But still one of the best performances of the night.” -
Kesha Kiara Gordon.
