Being in the bottom 3 is surely one of the most nerve-wrecking experiences for any Idols hopeful.

Having found themselves with the lowest votes last week, Chloe and Dominic were out to impress at Sunday’s show hoping to garner enough votes to be safe at tonight’s Live Results Show.

At the Top 9 Performance Show, the Judges were not at all impressed with Dominic’s performance. Randall said if he continued to perform that way he’d see himself in the bottom 3 again.

So Dominic’s next performance called for a new strategy.

He said: “I am going to keep it really simple this week, and do what I came here to do – that’s singing.”

His focus on singing seemed to have paid off as his performance brought Unathi to tears and gave her goose bumps from the first note.

“I’m glad you believe in yourself again,” she said.

At the Top 9 Performance Show Randall said Chloe’s rendition of “Misery Business” by Paramore was like “a really bad cover version”.

This week however she was able to turn things around for herself – although Randall was still not fully convinced.

Gareth said: “I am very pleased with your performance and very pleased with your song.”

While Unathi just loved the way Chloe was able to embody the song and the message in it.

Both Contestants upped their game this week in hopes of surviving the cut tonight.
