The competition is getting tighter and the Contestants are stepping up to the challenge. Last night your Top 8 performed their hearts out for votes that will get them into the Top 7.Tshidi
opened the show with the popular song “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls. After a number of good performances, Tshidi is certainly gaining the confidence she needs to keep her going.
“I have gained confidence and it feels great,” she said.
And this is what her fans thought:

“This girl is on fire and has got my vote for sure.” - Bbyface Mthombeni Fitnfresh.
In an effort to crawl out of that bottom 3, Dominic
focused on the singing this week.
“I am going to keep it really simple this week, and do what I came here to do – that’s singing,” he said.
Gareth was not fully convinced of his but his fans were:
“You are progressing Dominic, awesome performance.” - Tshidiso Theophilus Mogabale.
“Much better performance! Love the stubble on the face.” - Anneline Chantel Govindasamy.
“Great he's one of my favourites!” - Maureen Carmichael-Tredway .
After a good response from the Judges last week, Simphiwe
braved the Michael Jackson classic “Man In The Mirror”.
“For me, there will never be another Michael Jackson and to try and do a song of his is something that shows a lot of character, maturity and bravery,” said Idols mentor for the week, J’Something of Mi Casa.
After being in last week’s bottom 3, Chloë
was out to impress with her rendition of “Never Tear Us Apart” by INXS.
And this is what the fans had to say:

took on the 1982 Toto hit “Rosana” leaving J’Something very hopeful about his chances in this competition.
“Monde is a guy that I think will go far, he matches well vocally and from a performance perspective, he’s one of those guys who has got that package,” he said.Khaya
’s performance of Earth Wind And Fire’s “September” began with him in the audience, revving the crowds up even more than usual.
Fans at home were just as excited. They took to Facebook and posted:

“Flawless, powerful and absolutely WOW!” -Tlhogi Matsile.
“Powerful performance...your voice is amazing and tonight you definitely got your groove back!” - Tshegofatso Modisakeng .
Next up was Melissa
with her take on The Bangles’ “Eternal Flame”. Musical Director Alexis Faku said: “Melissa on this particular song floored everyone at the rehearsal.”
After a glowing review from the Judges and having seen plenty support from fans on the voting lines, she’s feeling the pressure “because you have to keep you’re A-game up now that you know people are supporting you,” she said.Shekhinah
closed the show off with TLC’s 1994 hit “Waterfalls” and even threw in a little surprise to prove her talents go beyond just singing.
Her performance included the rap verse by Left Eye, much to the Judges and fans’ delight.
“Tonight Shekhinah's got my vote for the risk she did. I always commend people who take risks and steps out of their comfort zone. Shekhinah's cool and versatile!” - Lungile Angela.
“Shekhinah knows where my ignition button is.” - Sbonda ThemusicPlaya.
