About an hour later, our bubble went bust when we saw the following tweet:

The last tweet was not an official tweet from The Presidency or the President but rather an administrative error. Our apologies. – PresidencyZA.

Nevertheless, responses came in fast and furious, ranging from amusement to admonishment:

It, too, garnered responses from Twitter uses:
